“ I rarely give 5-Star right away, but I am super excited and happy for a place like this opening up on the Ave. a beautiful place with perfect Music and smell. A calm and relaxing vibe, nice staff. It has a tiny little garden corner of its own. Fresh Orange Juice and all kinds of awesome sweets. Tiramisu, cheesecake and much more. Also, their Baguette sandwiches are great!! ”
“ One of the most flavorful sandwiches I've ever had! I got the slow cooked pork, and it was incredible. Like pulled pork, but savory Mediterranean flavoring vs the sweet barbeque flavors we usually have in the US. It had just a bit of heat, which was perfect, well toasted bread too. Byrek and Baguette has decent wifi and a lovely interior too, so overall an amazing experience. Highly, highly recommend! ”
“ I've only been here once thus far, and it's already one of my favorite places. It's an adorable little place, filled with lots of kitchy decor, bright colors, and plants. They've got a selection of baked ready-to-go options as well as a pretty wide menu of orderable foods. The baguettes are great (seriously, the bread is fantastic), the baklava is amazing (and seems made fresh in-house), and they've got fresh squeezed OJ (for you mimosa fans). 100% would recommend! Make sure this place stays open, U District! ”
“ Gorgeous space, very well lit and bohemian with lots of plants and good eats. Staff were very nice and helpful with good recommendations too tried two different veggie byreks which are so good and crispy with a savory filling, and in the perfect middle ground of not too filling, but won't leave you hungry. Hitting it with sour cream and hot sauce elevated it to sheer perfection. Beet salad was also so refreshing and flavorful, and all the flavor components could really shine together. Really appreciate the effort the staff made to double check my order to make sure she got the right thing too Their famed baguette sandwiches are also amazing and well balanced with a zesty house side salad! ”
“ Such a good spot for brunch. The menu selection is huge with lots of vegetarian options. The ambiance is really nice and makes for a good place to study. The bread used in the baguette sandwiches is delicious. Highly recommend the avocado Mediterranean sandwich. ”
“ Loved this super cute cafe that reminded me of my own college days We ordered coffee and a goat cheese with fig jam sandwich and a breakfast dish with a veggie omelette and fries. The sandwich needed more cheese but overall it was ok. The eggs and potatoes were fine for the price. The prices are pretty low compared to other cafes in Seattle. The only problem is that it seems like the bathrooms don’t get any proper cleaning. Overall I think it is a good place after a walk around UW campus to get a coffee and sit for a while. ”
“ Nice atmosphere, solid food menu and drink selections, and great customer service! A nice place to eat and decompress after coming from the nearby park. ”
“ I was a huge fan of Byrek & Baguette's capitol hill location, and now I'm thrilled to have them closer to me, right on the Ave! I would so much rather study and eat here than at any one of the nearby overpriced, crowded, and noises coffee shops. The food is better, it's family-run, and it's affordable. One byrek is the perfect meal for me before a class, and it's only 4.50. They're freshly-pressed orange juice is to die for, and it really it ACTUALLY freshly-pressed -- they make it right in front of you with a fancy pressing machine! Plus, the whole place doubles as a plant shop. Spacious, great for studying, and I think they'll start selling beer and wine soon as well, so it may become my new happy hour spot too! Edit, two months later: This restaurant has become my absolute favorite study spot. The music is pleasant, not too loud, you can always find a seat, and the food feels home-cooked. I'm obsessed! ”
